*Adventure Day Camp Summer 2008*

NEW!!! - Critter Camp: Ages 5-7

This camp gives younger children an introduction to pets, wildlife, and animal safety through interactive games, books, arts & crafts, and special guests. Each day campers will have an opportunity to work with, and enjoy the shelter pets in a controlled and safe environment. Every day we will focus on a different shelter pet, while learning about proper pet care and animal behaviors.

Fee for Camp = $80.00
Camp will run from 9:00 am - 12:00pm, Monday - Friday
Space is limited to 15 children

Session 1: July 14-18, 2008

 

Animal Adventure Camp: Ages 8-10

Animal Adventure Summer Camp is an opportunity for children to get involved with the animals at the Capital Area Humane Society, while learning important lessons about their animal friends. Each day focuses around an animal related theme including: Pet Animals, Working Animals, Farm Animals, and Wildlife. Each day campers will enjoy a variety of games, projects, and special quests as we explore the animal kingdom.

Fee for Camp = $150.00
Camp will run from 9:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday-Friday
Space limited to 20 children

Session 1: June 23-27, 2008


Session 2: July 21-25, 2008 (Optional Before & After Care available)*

Animal Adventure Career Camp: Ages 10-12

Perfect for children who are considering careers focusing on animals, this camp provides an opportunity to better appreciate the wide variety of occupations involving animals. A textbook, guest speakers, and a special trip to the zoo are all part of the fun in this camp.

Fee for camp = $200.00
Camp will run from 9:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday-Friday
Space limited to 20 children

Session 1: July 7-11, 2008

Session 2: August 4-8, 2008 (Optional Before & After Care available)*

 

NEW!!! Canine Training Camp: Ages 12-16

This camp gives teens an opportunity to learn and participate in basic and advanced obedience training for dogs. All participants may be paired with a shelter dog or they may bring their own dog.* Every day, teens will have an opportunity to work with their dogs with the help of a certified obedience instructor, have some special TLC time with all of the shelter pets, and participate in arts and crafts projects.

*Please note that participants who wish to bring their own dogs must have the dog undergo an interview with our behavior staff prior to the first day of camp. This is to ensure that the dog will be appropriate for the camp environment.

Fee for camp = $200.00
Camp will run from 9:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday-Friday
Space is limited to 10 children

Session 1: August 11-15, 2008

 

Returning This Summer.....Before & After Care!
