CHAT Club is an educational club for children ages 7-15 at the Capital Area Humane Society. Meetings provide members with the opportunity to get involved with the animals at the shelter through animal handling (puppies, kittens, dogs, cats and pocket pets), lessons about animals and responsible pet ownership and fun activities.
Sign up for CHAT Club today! Registration forms are available below or at the shelter. Parental permission forms will be sent.
CHAT Club fee is $30, payable on or before the first meeting. The cost for a CHAT Club tee shirt is $10. Club tee shirts are required and can be used throughout the year.
New member orientation will be held the first day of the new term. Please arrive by 4:15 p.m. on this day.
Parents do not need to attend the meetings, but are expected to pick their children up by 6:45 p.m.

2013 CHAT CLUB & OPEN YOUTH VOLUNTEERING SCHEDULE
CHAT Club meetings will be held on the following dates in 2013 from 4:30-6:45 p.m. In case of bad weather during the winter months, CHAT Club will be cancelled when the Lansing School District cancels school for that day. Generally, meetings are held every TUESDAY of each month. All CHAT members are welcome to attend Open Youth Volunteering meetings every Thursday.
