Help Raise Funds

Third Party Events benefit the shelter through donation of proceeds, supplies and more. Each year, many groups, clubs, classes and individuals generously sponsor fundraisers to benefit the animals at the Capital Area Humane Society. Third Party Fundraisers are not officially sponsored or held by the CAHS.3rd_Party

All Third Party Fundraisers must be pre-approved by CAHS.  Please view our Third Party Packet, which includes event ideas, guidelines, steps to a successful fundraiser and an application.  Applications must be returned to CAHS at least 15 days prior to the start of your fundraiser.

What type of third party fundraisers have other groups held?
There are hundreds of ways to host your own fundraiser--and each one is a great way to make a difference.  Big hearted animal lovers who are celebrating milestones such as birthdays, graduations or weddings have asked that contributions be made to CAHS in lieu of receiving gifts.  Friends of all ages have helped us by organizing car washes, bake sales, holding garage sales, pop can collections and food or toy drives. Businesses have donated a percentage of sales during the holidays or on a specific day. Animal lovers find many creative ways to help.  No matter the size of the donation, every dollar helps save the lives of the animals.
What help can the Capital Area Humane Society give us?
Please call us for advice, to display promotional material at the shelter, to visit with your group and to say thank you. Upon your request, we may also be able to schedule a staff member to attend your event with an animal or two.
