EMBARKING ON A NEW GOAL!

The Capital Area Humane Society has launched a campaign to relocate and expand our public spay & neuter clinic. We are grateful to the Michael G. Eyde Estate for their generous donation of a building located at 3303 West Saginaw Street in Lansing.

OVERCOMING OBSTACLES

We have operated a public Spay & Neuter Clinic in South Lansing since 2011. While the location was ideal for a startup business, we have gradually outgrown the building. There is such a high demand for low-cost spay and neuter services, we are now unable to meet the needs of our community. Surgeries are often booked out for four months, especially for large dogs and female cats.

Thanks to a very generous donation of a large building by the Michael G. Eyde Estate, located at 3303 West Saginaw Street in Lansing, we are now poised to relocate and expand our public Spay & Neuter Clinic, allowing us to significantly increase our capacity to provide low-cost, lifesaving surgery. However, to bring this vision to life, we must act quickly to raise $1.5 million for renovations—ensuring that the new facility is fully equipped to serve our community.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

You can help us achieve these goals by supporting this capital campaign through:

  • GIFTS OF CASH: The easiest and most direct way of supporting this campaign is a gift of cash.
  • SCHEDULE A MONTHLY GIFT: Recognizing that many caring people may not have the capacity to make a sizable gift at any one time, we suggest the alternative of making a smaller gift on a monthly basis.
  • GIFTS OF STOCK: Avoid capital gains through a gift of highly appreciated stock, while taking a full-value deduction on your tax returns.
  • NAMING OPPORTUNITIES: There are numerous naming opportunities available for this project. Please see the list below for more details.
  • QUALIFIED CHARITABLE DISTRIBUTIONS: If you’re over age 70½, you can meet the required minimum distribution from your IRA by making a qualified charitable distribution of up to $100,000 per year; you’ll also lessen your taxable income.
  • A MULTI-YEAR PLEDGE COMMITMENT: May be payable over a three-year period.

OUR MISSION OF HOPE

We are an animal-welfare organization with a mission to promote the humane treatment of companion animals through protection, placement, education and example. We serve the tri-county region of Eaton, Clinton, and Ingham and beyond.

We would love the opportunity to meet with you to discuss how your support can help make this vision a reality. Please reach out to one of the staff members below to schedule a meeting, or with any questions.
